Production Technician

About the role

CooperVision, a leading global contact lens manufacturer, is seeking a Production Technician to operate and maintain packaging machinery on its production line. The role focuses on ensuring smooth, efficient production while supporting the Maintenance and Engineering teams in troubleshooting and equipment upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Operate various packaging machines safely, start/stop equipment, and resolve basic faults.
• Perform printed data and quality inspections to verify product accuracy.
• Execute first‑level maintenance tasks, clear jams, and conduct routine equipment checks.
• Provide detailed fault information when escalating issues to senior maintenance or engineers.
• Assist with new machine builds, validations, and training on SOPs and work instructions.
• Participate in machine changeovers, ensuring settings match change‑over sheets.
• Report malfunctions promptly and act as subject‑matter expert for equipment upgrades.
• Maintain daily production OEE targets and meet tight deadlines.
