Product Development Manager – Beauty

About the role

Skims Beauty is launching a modern beauty line and seeks a Product Development Manager to lead the creation of new products from concept through launch. The role will coordinate across creative, brand, marketing, operations, supply chain, regulatory and external manufacturing partners to deliver high‑performing, cost‑effective products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end product development for assigned beauty categories, including formulation, testing, packaging, production and launch.
• Translate creative briefs into detailed specifications, timelines and deliverables, and partner with labs, contract manufacturers and packaging suppliers.
• Maintain product documentation, approvals and quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identify market trends, conduct competitive analysis and contribute to the SKIMS Beauty innovation pipeline.
• Own detailed development timelines, monitor risks and ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Collaborate with finance and supply chain to meet cost targets and negotiate vendor quotations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate testing and support global market roll‑outs.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product development experience in beauty, cosmetics, skincare or related consumer categories.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with complex timelines and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong understanding of formulation, packaging development, testing and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with laboratories, contract manufacturers and packaging suppliers.
