About the role
Collaborate with innovative 3Mers worldwide to support global and regional new‑product introduction (NPI) efforts for new tapes and adhesives in the consumer electronics industry. The role focuses on scaling up, commercializing, and continuously improving products and processes.
Key responsibilities
- Support NPI efforts and drive cost, quality, service, and safety improvement projects.
- Lead or support cross‑functional teams on problem‑solving and metric tracking.
- Manage documentation for change management, including Product and Process Understanding (PPU), experiments (PPE), and Management of Change (MOC) requests.
- Identify cost‑saving and supply‑chain improvement opportunities and prioritize them within product sub‑teams.
- Assist quality teams in reducing customer complaints, investigating issues, and mitigating unexpected problems.
- Work with manufacturing plants to resolve safety issues and prevent lost‑time incidents.
- Develop long‑term strategies for operational activities and be on‑call for severe service or quality issues.
Required profile
- PhD in a science or engineering discipline (completed before start).
- At least four years of experience in a private, public, government, or military environment related to material process data, computer‑aided design, product information, or material property information.
- Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Polymer Engineering, or Materials Science is preferred.
- Experience with coating and drying of films, high‑shear mixing operations, process optimization, and unit‑cost modeling.
- Minimum three years using statistical tools and Six Sigma methodology for problem solving.
- Three or more years on new‑product development/commercialization teams and quality‑improvement or cost‑reduction projects.

- Compensation range of $164,612 – $201,193 per year, including base pay and variable incentive pay.
