Product Designer – Surface Patterns & Accessories

About the role

Madison Home International is seeking a versatile Product Designer to create original surface patterns, illustrations, and graphics for a wide range of consumer accessories and hard‑goods. The role focuses on translating trend‑driven concepts into commercially viable products for mass‑market retailers.

Key responsibilities

• Create original surface patterns, prints, illustrations, and product concepts for bags, pouches, travel and lifestyle accessories.
• Develop coordinated color palettes, themes, and collections that align with market trends.
• Produce detailed sketches, renderings, technical artwork, and digital presentations to communicate design ideas.
• Research consumer preferences, materials, and emerging product categories.
• Collaborate with design, sales, and product‑development teams to ensure concepts meet customer needs.
• Work with overseas factory partners, especially in China, to verify manufacturability and maintain design integrity.
• Prepare production‑ready artwork, layouts, specifications, and product presentations.
• Refine designs based on feedback from internal teams, customers, and factories while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or BFA degree in Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional design experience, preferably in consumer accessories.
• Strong surface‑pattern and illustration abilities with a portfolio demonstrating relevant work.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, production requirements, and factory constraints.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
