About the role
Akkodis is looking for a Process Improvement Consultant to support ambulatory access initiatives for a large academic healthcare system in Portland, OR. This 3‑to‑6‑month contract role provides leadership, coaching, and technical expertise to improve patient access and drive enterprise‑wide performance improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead strategy deployment and structured problem solving using A3 methodology and Lean principles across ambulatory care.
- Partner with executive leadership to align improvement work with strategic goals.
- Support development and execution of enterprise‑wide performance excellence initiatives.
- Coach senior leaders, managers, and teams on Lean and performance improvement practices.
- Facilitate large‑scale, high‑impact projects focused on access and operational performance.
- Apply advanced Lean tools, change‑management techniques, and establish standard work for sustainability.
- Design and deliver training programs and curricula on patient access and operational excellence.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, engineering, science or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of performance improvement experience, or 5 years healthcare experience plus 3 years leadership/performance improvement.
- Hands‑on experience with Lean methodologies and facilitating training/coaching.
- Preferred: Master’s degree and experience working with senior leadership in a healthcare setting.
