About the role

Infosys is seeking a PostgreSQL DBA to join its Cloud unit in Irvine, CA. The role focuses on managing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases within a cloud‑centric environment, supporting client infrastructure and driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve complex incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and document preventive recommendations.
• Evaluate client IT infrastructure, prepare assessment reports, and support due‑diligence activities to identify maturity gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Design scalable, cost‑effective infrastructure solutions, review reusable components, and develop technical documentation for deployed systems.
• Coordinate release schedules, execute deployments, conduct post‑deployment testing, and manage version control.
• Plan and oversee maintenance windows, emergency fixes, and technology upgrades while ensuring seamless integration.
• Analyze performance data, provide insights on system behavior, and support capacity planning.
• Conduct security checks, recovery drills, compliance audits, and implement continuity plans.

Required profile

• Infrastructure Consultant 2 role within Infosys’ Infrastructure Management practice.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and handle incident resolution.
• Experience in assessing and documenting IT infrastructure maturity.
• Strong analytical skills for performance monitoring and capacity planning.
