About the role
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will lead and support research activities for the Texas MyPlate Food Ambassadors Changing Environments and Systems (TX MyPlate Faces) grant. This role blends community outreach, nutrition education, and rigorous research to improve health outcomes for Texas youth.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and conduct all phases of research, including IRB submissions, participant recruitment, data collection, and analysis.
- Develop and deliver five regional training courses for school districts, enhancing local wellness policies.
- Provide technical assistance to schools working with student ambassadors and organize cultural food tastings.
- Prepare comprehensive research reports and synthesize findings for local, state, and national stakeholders.
Required profile
- Post‑doctoral experience in public health, nutrition, education, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to manage research projects and work with community partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for report preparation and stakeholder engagement.
Required skills
- Experience with IRB processes and human subjects research compliance.
- Data collection and synthesis for research reporting.
