About the role
The Planning Scheduling Analyst II supports the Planning Manager in developing and maintaining project procedures and schedules for submarine rescue systems. Working closely with government stakeholders and internal teams, the analyst ensures safety, quality, and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Planning Manager in creating project procedures, schedules, and retest plans after maintenance periods.
- Document meeting minutes, distribute action items, and prepare daily/weekly status reports.
- Manage planning product workflows and maintain project documentation in the product data management system.
- Support communication within the planning team and with external stakeholders, ensuring timely dissemination of information.
- Prepare presentation materials and assist in training project staff.
- Help resolve project conflicts, identify resource needs, and align the team on scope.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing lessons learned and suggesting process enhancements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including possible watchstanding duties aboard vessels.
Required profile
- A 2‑year degree in a project‑management related field or equivalent experience.
- Basic understanding of project management principles and ability to apply them.
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Good attendance record and proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Self‑motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools.
