Physician, MD/DO – Clinical Research

About the role

Headlands Research is seeking an experienced physician to serve as Principal Investigator for clinical trials at its CMR Center in San Juan, PR. The role focuses on ensuring subject safety, protocol compliance, data integrity, and high‑quality study execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee clinical trials at CMR Center, ensuring protocol, regulatory and ethical compliance.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to site staff, fostering inclusivity and professionalism.
• Obtain IRB approvals, oversee subject safety, informed consent, and trial conduct.
• Communicate with sponsors, monitors, regulators, and network leadership.
• Support business development and community engagement, including physician outreach and media interviews.

Required profile

• Previous experience as Principal Investigator or Sub‑Investigator on clinical research trials.
• Active, unencumbered MD or DO license in Puerto Rico, board‑certified or board‑eligible.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong communication, leadership and organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with FDA, ICH‑GCP, IRB processes and industry best practices.
