About the role

Ochsner Health’s John Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible cardiologist to provide inpatient care in the Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CCU) and Step‑Down Unit in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide 12‑hour inpatient cardiology care (7 am‑7 pm) on a one‑week‑on, one‑week‑off schedule in the CCU and Step‑Down Unit.
  • Participate in teaching medical students, residents and cardiology fellows and engage in clinical research projects.

Required profile

  • Board‑certified or board‑eligible cardiologist (BC/BE).
  • Willingness to work onsite in New Orleans on the specified schedule.

Required skills

  • Expertise in cardiac critical care and inpatient cardiology.
  • Ability to teach and mentor trainees.
