About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a contracted Physical Therapist Assistant to join its interdisciplinary team at the Kids First clinic. This role focuses on delivering evidence‑based therapy to children from birth to five years old who present with gross motor delays or disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on physical therapy interventions using best‑practice techniques for pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, physicians, and other specialists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with UAMS policies.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current Arkansas Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Full COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption.

Required skills

• Proficiency in pediatric physical therapy techniques.
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
