Pediatric Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Full-Time)

About the role

This full‑time position provides pediatric primary and urgent care within a collaborative outpatient clinic model. The role works under the supervision of the Medical Director and partners with physicians, nurses, and discharge coordinators to deliver comprehensive medical services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary and urgent medical management for pediatric outpatients.
• Stabilize critically ill patients and coordinate emergency care.
• Teach and supervise residents, medical students, and staff.
• Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and community outreach.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in nursing.
• Current APRN license in the state of practice.
• Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner certification (ANCC or AANPCP).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Eligibility for prescriptive authority in Louisiana.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and on‑call.

Required skills

• Computer skills for data entry and retrieval.
• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and role‑specific software.
