About the role

Santander is seeking a part‑time teller to join its Grasmere branch in Staten Island. You will be the first point of contact for customers, delivering fast, accurate service while supporting the branch’s daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, minimize wait times, and assist with banking needs.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and cash handling with precise cash‑drawer balances.
• Follow all bank policies, compliance, and risk‑management procedures to prevent fraud.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and refer appropriate products.
• Educate customers on digital self‑service tools.
• Support custodial duties, audits, and other operational tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and may assist nearby branches as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 6 months cash‑handling experience.
• Minimum 6 months demonstrated customer‑service experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work flexible branch hours, including evenings and weekends.

Required skills
