Part‑Time English Language Teacher (UN)

About the role

The Department of Operational Support is seeking qualified part‑time English language teachers to join its Candidate Pool. Teachers will deliver scheduled courses, assess learner progress, and contribute to language‑learning projects for UN staff worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate each lesson of assigned English courses.
• Correct assignments and homework promptly and provide weekly learning‑strategy suggestions.
• Monitor student progress, give group and individual feedback, and grade tests, exams, and evaluation tasks.
• Submit final student evaluations, attendance reports, and course completion documentation.
• Participate in language‑communication projects, report on progress, and integrate supervisor feedback to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Ability to teach English to adult learners on a part‑time, contract basis.
• Strong organizational skills to manage lesson planning, grading, and reporting.
• Willingness to work remotely or onsite in New York as required.
• Capacity to contribute to curriculum development and language‑project work.
