Partner Support Specialist

About the role

As a Partner Support Specialist you will be the primary point of contact for Check’s enterprise partners, helping them navigate complex payroll scenarios and ensuring smooth operation of their payroll products built on Check’s platform. You’ll combine payroll expertise with technical product knowledge to investigate issues, drive resolutions, and build trusted relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of partner requests through written communication, balancing urgency with thorough investigation while meeting SLAs.
• Own and resolve complex payroll and tax issues, tracing root causes across systems and delivering accurate solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Tax, and Risk teams to troubleshoot, escalate bugs, and unblock partners quickly.
• Identify recurring partner questions and operational friction points, surfacing insights to improve documentation, workflows, and product behavior.
• Maintain and create documentation and operational resources that enable the support team to work efficiently.

Required profile

• 4+ years in a client‑ or partner‑facing role supporting technical products.
• 2+ years experience at a payroll provider, HR‑tech, fintech, or a role requiring payroll knowledge.
• Proven ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast‑paced support environment.
• Strong investigative instincts and attention to detail when solving complex problems.

Required skills

• Experience with ticketing or case‑management systems (Zendesk preferred).
• Excellent written communication skills to explain technical or operational concepts clearly.
