Part-Time Security Officer - Access Control Driver

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, offers a part-time Security Officer Enhanced position in Monroe, MI. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up extra shifts through a claim-a-shift program, building toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $16.40 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies and emergency response activities at a utility services location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials and authorization for personnel, vehicles, contractors and deliveries entering restricted or controlled areas.
• Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records and incident documentation in line with site procedures.
• Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns through established channels.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of assigned access points, buildings and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.

Required profile

• Valid driver's license in line with Allied Universal driver policy (required for driving positions only).
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required before employment.
