Part-Time RN – One Day Surgery

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse to support its One Day Surgery unit. This clinical staff position offers flexible shift work within a collaborative, patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage IV therapy.
• Assist the surgical team with patient preparation, positioning, and post‑operative recovery.
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic health record.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment.

Required profile

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on day one of employment.
• Experience in peri‑operative or ambulatory surgery nursing preferred.
• Ability to work varied shifts on a part‑time basis.

Required skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring.
