Part-time & Limited-Term Faculty Positions – Mathematics Department

About the role

Kennesaw State University is inviting applications for a pool of part‑time and limited‑term faculty positions in the Department of Mathematics for the 2025‑2026 academic year. Appointments are made on an as‑needed, semester‑by‑semester basis, with rank determined by the candidate’s credentials.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate mathematics courses across a range of topics.
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Advise and mentor students on academic and career matters.
• Participate in departmental service, including curriculum development and committee work.
• Engage in scholarly activities or supervise student research projects as appropriate.

Required profile

• At least a master’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field; Ph.D. preferred.
• Demonstrated experience teaching at the college level.
• Ability to teach a variety of undergraduate mathematics courses.
• Commitment to student success and inclusive teaching practices.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of undergraduate mathematics curriculum.
• Familiarity with mathematical software such as MATLAB or Mathematica.
• Proficiency with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).
