Part-Time Forklift Operator – 2nd Shift

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a part‑time Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift (4 PM‑10 PM, Monday‑Friday) at its Grand Rapids, MI service center. You will safely move various freight in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long, working on a roofed but non‑climate‑controlled dock.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using a forklift, ensuring safe handling of all items.
• Operate the forklift on a roofed dock and manage trailer movements efficiently.

Required profile

• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Experience operating a forklift in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to read manifests and interact with a computer display.
• Dependable work ethic and willingness to work a 2nd‑shift schedule.
