Packaging Solutions Co‑op Internship (Spring/Fall 2027)

About the role

This co‑op internship with 3M’s Packaging Solutions team offers a 20‑22 week, full‑time experience where you will collaborate with innovative engineers worldwide. You will help create and improve packaging solutions that support three business groups while gaining hands‑on exposure to real‑world product development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative packaging solutions across all three business groups in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Support modification and improvement of existing package designs, methods, and solutions.
• Perform and coordinate package testing according to established protocols.
• Work with suppliers and contract packaging vendors to obtain cost estimates, samples, and design requirements.
• Create, maintain, and analyze packaging data to drive implementation and optimization improvements.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Completed at least sophomore year (four semesters) by the start of the internship.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Major in Package Engineering, Packaging Science, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Previous experience in the packaging industry is a plus.
