Outside Operator

About the role

The Outside Operator works in a unionized manufacturing environment, monitoring and operating plant process equipment to ensure reliable production and high product quality. The role requires quick decision‑making, adaptability, and a commitment to safety and continuous learning.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and operate plant process equipment throughout the manufacturing cycle.
• Evaluate unit operating status and troubleshoot processes and equipment to maximize reliability.
• Document operating parameters and communicate status to internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform minor maintenance and oversee maintenance activities on assigned equipment.
• Follow all safety, security, environmental, and regulatory guidelines.
• Cross‑train in PZ, Acetic Acid, Utilities, and Support Areas.

• Technical capability and willingness to embrace change.
• Ability to make fast decisions and demonstrate self‑confidence and leadership.
• Commitment to personal safety and the safety of co‑workers.
• Willingness to undergo technical testing, a physical function test, background check, and drug screening.
