Onsite Patient Care Coordinator – Apple Valley, MN

About the role

The Patient Care Coordinator will support the Children’s Therapy Center by ensuring smooth scheduling and front‑desk operations for occupational, speech, and physical therapy services. This full‑time, onsite position is based in Apple Valley, MN.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient evaluations and ongoing therapy appointments.
• Verify insurance coverage and retrieve necessary documentation before services are rendered.
• Manage front‑desk duties: greet patients, handle check‑ins/outs, answer phone calls, and use EHR software for scheduling and documentation.
• Secure medical documents such as treatment recommendations, diagnosis codes, and doctor’s orders for timely claims processing.
• Oversee administrative tasks including filing, inventory management, therapist productivity tracking, and supply purchasing.
• Perform end‑of‑day duties such as cleaning, securing the facility, and supporting team morale initiatives.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer‑service orientation with at least one year of experience in customer service, administrative, healthcare insurance, or medical billing.
• Ability to work onsite in Apple Valley and cover shifts between 7 am‑6 pm CST.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) software for appointment scheduling and documentation.
