Occupational Therapist – Kids First (Fort Smith)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join the Kids First program in Fort Smith. The role focuses on delivering pediatric occupational therapy services to children with developmental, physical, or sensory challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive OT assessments for pediatric patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve functional abilities.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Document progress and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate families and caregivers on home-based strategies.

Required profile

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working with children in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to patient‑centered care and teamwork.
