About the role

The Nutrition Service Assistant provides essential support to the food service program at French Camp School. Working Monday through Friday, this part‑time position ensures students receive safe, nutritious meals in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals according to district nutrition guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, following food safety protocols.
• Monitor inventory levels and help with stock rotation and ordering.
• Support the lead nutrition staff in record‑keeping and compliance reporting.
• Provide courteous service to students and staff while adhering to scheduled lunch periods.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (U.S. Department of Education accredited).
• Ability to obtain proof of high school completion if selected.
• Desirable: experience in a school nutrition program or food‑service industry.
• Desirable: completion of a district‑approved food safety certification.
• Must submit a resume and one signed professional letter of recommendation.
• Pre‑employment requirements include TB clearance and fingerprinting (employee‑paid).
