New Product Scientist – RNA Sequencing

About the role

Plasmidsaurus is seeking a New Product Scientist to shape the next generation of RNA sequencing solutions. In this highly autonomous position you will turn scientific ideas into scalable products that accelerate discovery for researchers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate emerging RNA sequencing opportunities through literature review, market analysis and scientific insight.
• Design, execute and analyze experiments to assess technical feasibility and sequencing performance.
• Develop and validate novel library‑preparation methods that expand the company’s RNA‑seq portfolio.
• Scale successful concepts into automated, production‑ready workflows and support product launch activities.
• Collaborate with product, bioinformatics, production, automation, commercial, marketing, UI/UX and other teams to bring new products to market.
• Guide research associates and laboratory technicians as needed.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent experience in molecular biology, genomics or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to move quickly from hypothesis to experiment and to translate proof‑of‑concept work into scalable products.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting sequencing data and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
