Neuropathologist / Surgical Pathologist – Full‑Time Academic Position

About the role

The Department of Pathology at Ochsner LSU Health System Shreveport and LSU Health Science Center is seeking a fellowship‑trained Neuropathologist/Surgical Pathologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain diagnostic excellence and accuracy across neuropathology and surgical pathology cases.
• Provide high‑quality consultative services to clinical colleagues within the institution and external partners.
• Fulfill service, teaching, and academic productivity responsibilities, including mentorship of medical students and residents.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anatomic Pathology (or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology) and Neuropathology.
• Completed a Neuropathology fellowship.
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship (J‑1 waiver or H‑1B) for qualified candidates.
