Network Manager II

About the role

As a Network Manager II at GDIT you will design, maintain and operate medium to large enterprise networks supporting voice, video and data communications. You will ensure network security, performance and compliance while collaborating with vendors and end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, administer and support voice, video and data communications networks.
• Maintain network security and enforce compliance with security policies.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions, including peripherals and output devices.
• Develop and implement network procedures, standards and testing strategies.
• Lead or support major network installations, upgrades and special projects.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve outages or performance issues.
• Provide training and technical advice to end‑users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in network administration and support, preferably on military or large‑scale networks.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
• Compliance with DoD 8570.01‑M certification requirements (e.g., Security+, MCSA, CCNP).
