Molding Maintenance Technician II

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Molding Maintenance Technician II to join its Engineering team in Houston. The role focuses on supporting mold tooling design and plastic injection molding operations, ensuring high‑quality production in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle complex tasks related to mold tooling design and plastic injection molding processes.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and material distribution systems.
• Maintain compliance with GxP regulations by following SOPs and documenting activities accurately.
• Make technical decisions within defined procedures to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Support robotic/automated picking end‑of‑arm tooling and related electrical/electronic systems.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in molding or regulated industries.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Ability to work onsite Monday‑Wednesday and alternating Thursdays.
