Mobile Public Health Nurse

About the role

The Center for Access and Linkage to Health Care (CALHC) seeks a Mobile Public Health Nurse to lead clinical and public health interventions on a mobile unit serving homeless and underserved populations across the NE Region of New Mexico. This role combines direct patient care with logistical support for the mobile clinic.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and maintain the mobile unit, coordinating logistics and scheduling with internal and external partners.
• Deliver priority public health services under RN scope, following PHD clinical protocols and standing orders.
• Track refrigerator temperatures, manage CLIA documentation, and perform quality‑assurance activities.
• Collect and report outreach data using the approved system.
• Provide comparable services in Public Health Offices when the mobile unit is not operating.

Required profile

• Experience leading public health interventions for communicable diseases or priority health areas.
• Background delivering health services in non‑traditional settings such as community venues or mobile clinics.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with regional staff.
