Member of Technical Staff – Research Engineer

About the role

Ataraxis AI is a clinical AI research lab focused on multi‑modal AI and precision medicine. As a Member of Technical Staff – Research Engineer, you will develop cutting‑edge machine‑learning methods that predict patient outcomes and support physicians in treatment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement novel ML models for self‑supervised learning, survival analysis, multi‑modal learning, causality and interpretability.
• Translate research papers into production‑ready code and build robust evaluation frameworks.
• Develop data preprocessing pipelines, ensure data quality, and maintain scientific documentation.
• Optimize code for GPU clusters, deploy models to cloud inference pipelines, and write regression/unit tests.
• Co‑author research papers and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists.

Required profile

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics or a related field.
• Strong understanding of core machine‑learning concepts and statistical methods.
• Ability to produce reproducible scientific work and clear documentation.
