Medical Laboratory Scientist I – PRN (Reference Lab)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I on a PRN (as‑needed) basis to work in its Reference Laboratory. This temporary position supports the laboratory’s mission to deliver accurate diagnostic testing for patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in the reference lab according to established protocols.
• Document test results accurately and ensure timely reporting.
• Maintain quality control and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Assist with specimen processing, instrument operation, and troubleshooting as needed.

Required profile

• Current or former employee of the University of Arkansas System or eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid certification or eligibility for Medical Laboratory Scientist I role.
• Ability to work flexible shifts on an as‑needed schedule.
