Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

About the role

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician you will join Amazon’s Reliability Maintenance & Engineering team to repair, maintain and optimise material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across a fulfillment centre. You will install, service and troubleshoot automated packaging and distribution machinery while also mentoring junior technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on material handling equipment (MHE) and document all work.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays and related components.
• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems and automated packaging equipment.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure equipment uptime.
• Handle physical demands such as lifting up to 49 lb, standing or walking for up to 12‑hour shifts, climbing ladders and performing bending, stretching and lifting.

Required profile

• Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
• Physical capability to lift 49 lb, stand for long periods and climb ladders.
• Willingness to mentor and support junior technicians.
