Materials Coordinator/Handler III – 2nd Shift

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Materials Coordinator/Handler III for the second shift at its Billerica, MA facility. The role supports production by managing inventory, preparing kits, and ensuring material flow into cleanroom environments. You will work under moderate supervision while developing expertise in stockroom operations and material handling.

Key responsibilities

• Locate, audit, transfer, and stage materials or kits to support production schedules.
• Perform cycle counts, verify inventory accuracy, and resolve discrepancies.
• Pick orders using the kitting tracker and organize stockroom locations to maximize storage capacity.
• Prepare materials for cleanroom delivery following all procedures and safety protocols.
• Operate powered industrial equipment such as pallet jacks and, when certified, forklifts.
• Train and assist other Material Coordinators and contribute to special projects.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years experience in a stockroom, warehouse, manufacturing, or materials environment preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
• Understanding of how the Materials department supports manufacturing, planning, purchasing, and shipping functions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically Made 2 Manage (M2M) and SAP.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment (pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, forklifts).
