About the role

The Arlington Independent School District seeks a qualified Marketing Teacher for grades 9‑12 for the 2026‑27 academic year. The role focuses on delivering engaging marketing curriculum, fostering student growth, and preparing learners for industry certification exams.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct assigned marketing classes at designated times and locations.
• Develop, adapt, and implement curriculum plans aligned with Texas Education Agency standards.
• Prepare lesson materials, set clear objectives, and employ diverse instructional techniques.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and manage classroom time effectively.
• Offer extended‑hour opportunities for students to meet certification requirements.
• Collaborate with staff on instructional goals, serve on committees, and contribute to material selection.
• Maintain a positive role model, uphold district policies, and ensure a safe learning environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate, eligibility for alternative certification, or Arlington ISD local teaching permit.
• Marketing or distributive education certification (Grades 6‑12 or 8‑12) or documented marketing work experience per Arlington ISD guidelines.
• Preferred marketing industry experience.
