About the role
Canvas is seeking a Marketing & Social Media Manager to develop and execute social media strategies that support our engineering services business. The role will create engaging content, manage daily channel activity, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance our brand presence.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Create and maintain an editorial/calendar for content publishing.
- Produce and schedule posts on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms.
- Write, edit, and publish copy, graphics, and video content.
- Design graphics and produce video assets, including concept, production, and editing.
- Produce and edit a bimonthly podcast.
- Conduct audience, competitor, and trend research to inform content strategy.
- Track platform updates, emerging trends, and best practices.
- Measure and analyze performance metrics, turning insights into actionable recommendations.
- Support website updates and content maintenance as needed.
- Attend occasional events to capture live social media content.
Required profile
- 2–3 years of professional experience managing social media for a brand, agency, or organization.
- Proven track record of developing and executing content strategies across major platforms.
- Experience creating and editing short‑form video content.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and translate insights into strategy.
- Security clearance: must hold or be able to obtain a T1 clearance.
Required skills
- Social media platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube.
- Social media management tools: Hootsuite, Asana (or similar).
- Graphic and video design tools: Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Podcast production and editing.
- Content Management Systems (e.g., Ingeniux or similar).
