Manufacturing Technician II – Cleanroom Assembly & Test

About the role

Manufacturing Technician II works hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, repairing and testing multimillion‑dollar display and wafer‑fabrication equipment for semiconductor and advanced‑display applications.

Key responsibilities

• Build, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies using work orders, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repairs under moderate supervision.
• Receive parts, audit inventory, inspect for defects and improve processes.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to validate assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
• Complete job documentation, data entry and, when required, computer programming, software installs or repairs.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years of experience in semiconductor or display manufacturing, or comparable industry or military experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical assembly.
• Troubleshooting and repair of vacuum, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Use of electronic measurement equipment and leak detection tools.
• Interpretation of schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists.
• Basic computer programming or software installation for equipment.
