Manufacturing Product Finishing Operator

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Manufacturing Product Finishing Operator to perform bench and machine finishing tasks on aerospace components. The role is based onsite in Torrance, CA and reports to the Performance Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Execute bench and machine operations to clean, polish, deburr, break edges, form radii, blend defects, and remove contamination.
• Interpret operation sheets, blueprints, sketches, and plastic body drawings to plan work sequences.
• Select, sharpen, and fabricate special tooling; use lighting aids, inspection gauges, and magnification as required.
• Visually inspect finished parts for quality, quantity, and abnormal defects, ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Handle small parts and perform detailed finishing work throughout the production process.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow verbal, written, and computer instructions in English.
• At least 3 months experience in deburring or finishing within an aerospace machine shop (preferred).
• Strong fine‑motor skills, excellent visual acuity, and keen attention to detail.
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Basic computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Word, Outlook).
