Manufacturing Excellence Specialist – Data Analyst

About the role

The Manufacturing Excellence Specialist (Data Analyst) will lead performance improvement projects at Nestlé’s new pet‑food manufacturing facility in Rockingham County, Virginia. You will apply problem‑solving methodologies to drive loss reduction, waste minimisation, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and eliminate losses during ongoing operations.
• Build problem‑solving capability within the full factory team.
• Prevent top losses on factory equipment and processes.
• Conduct data analysis using digital tracking tools to uncover loss‑reduction opportunities.
• Identify root causes for packaging and ingredient variances to reduce waste.
• Participate in the Focused Improvement Pillar team.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 4+ years of operational experience in manufacturing, industrial, technical, military, or related environments.

Required skills

• DMAIC methodology.
• Six Sigma tools.
• SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) techniques.
• Lean manufacturing principles.
• Digital tracking and data analysis tools.
