Manufacturing Engineer – Sheet Metal Production

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer with strong experience in sheet metal fabrication to support production, improve processes, and drive efficiency. You will work closely with operators, programmers, and leadership to optimize forming, cutting, and assembly while ensuring high‑quality output and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve sheet metal manufacturing processes, including laser cutting, punching, bending (press brake), welding, and assembly.
• Create and optimize flat patterns, bend allowances, and tooling selections for accurate fabrication.
• Partner with programmers and operators to troubleshoot floor issues and improve part quality and throughput.
• Analyze workflow, plant layout, and material flow to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support new product launches by developing routing, work instructions, and process validation.
• Collaborate with tooling and equipment vendors to improve capabilities and reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate documentation such as process sheets, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Monitor key metrics (scrap, rework, cycle times) and lead continuous‑improvement efforts.
