Manufacturing Engineer II – Contract

About the role

Manufacturing Engineer II (Contract) at Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, Alabama. The role supports the final‑assembly line of A320 and A220 aircraft, ensuring non‑conformities are identified, resolved and processes continuously improved.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and document non‑conformities (NCs) on the shop floor and drive their resolution.
• Support work improvement proposals, lean waste elimination and process validation activities.
• Prepare specifications and requests for new or modified jigs, tools and small‑tool repairs.
• Coordinate with multifunctional teams to address production issues, concessions and blocked work orders.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental (EH&S) standards are communicated and applied on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 + years experience in aerospace final‑assembly line.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate in an international team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Airbus mechanical processes and methods.
• Familiarity with Airbus IT tools: Zamiz, TAKSY, DocMaster, ECM.
• Experience with SAP R3 (PP/PM modules).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs).
• Understanding of aircraft structure installation, design rules and health‑safety‑environment regulations.
