Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly (Full‑time, Indianapolis)

About the role

As a Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly at Rolls‑Royce in Indianapolis, you will act as the technical authority for the assembly of original equipment (OE) and maintenance‑repair‑overhaul (MRO) units. The position focuses on aligning manufacturing methods with design intent and authoring repair orders for MRO hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure product integrity by interfacing with the appropriate design engineering organization.
• Validate that assembly processes meet quality, cost, delivery and lead‑time requirements.
• Manage process changes through FAIRs, MVAs and technical verification.
• Create and maintain Technical Packages that define assembly processes.
• Research repair requirements from Heavy Maintenance Manuals, Technical Variances and issue Repair Orders.
• Investigate customer complaints and quality non‑compliances, leading cross‑functional corrective‑action teams.

Required profile

• Technical authority for OE and MRO unit assembly.
• Ability to collaborate with design engineering and cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in leading problem‑solving and corrective‑action groups.
