Manager, Inside Systems Engineering

About the role

The Manager, Inside Systems Engineering leads a North‑America team of Inside Sales Systems Engineers, providing technical sales leadership, customer‑focused enablement and escalation support. The role is remote, with travel of roughly 25% and a preferred base in Charlotte, NC.

Key responsibilities

• Support Inside Sales leaders and engineers to achieve revenue goals, customer growth and product portfolio expansion.
• Recruit, hire, coach and retain top Systems Engineer talent, managing performance, development plans and compensation.
• Lead technical presentations, review RFx proposals and sales strategies, and act as a trusted advisor for network implementations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and Product Line Management to influence roadmaps based on customer feedback.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of pre‑sales experience with routing, switching and Wi‑Fi technologies.
• 5+ years of management experience leading technical teams.
• Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to influence senior decision‑makers.

Required skills

• Wi‑Fi standards (Wi‑Fi 5, 6, 7), RF antenna behavior, heat‑map creation and wireless troubleshooting.
• IP routing, WAN/LAN switching, Layer 4‑7 application services.
• Security technologies: SASE, SD‑WAN, RADIUS, Active Directory.
• Virtualization platforms: VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V, GCE, Azure, AWS.
• Cloud services (SaaS), VLAN, network segmentation, indoor/outdoor wireless deployments.

What we offer

• Base salary range $125,000‑$168,000 with commission potential.
