Make Ready Technician – 10 West Edge

About the role

The Make Ready Technician ensures vacant apartments are prepared to Greystar’s quality standards for re‑leasing. Working on the 10 West Edge high‑rise, you will perform a range of technical and mechanical tasks to turn units into market‑ready homes.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements on vacant units according to the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs and showers as needed.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and repair or replace it.
• Perform touch‑up painting on vacant and occupied units under supervisor direction.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities by pressure‑washing breezeways, pool areas, and cleaning or painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control by fixing parts instead of replacing them when possible.
• Document all work in the make‑ready checklist and required maintenance logs.
• Follow Greystar’s safety policies, attend safety meetings and complete OSHA‑related training.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answer questions and address maintenance complaints promptly.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, lift and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Availability for a Monday‑Friday schedule (8 am‑5 pm) with rotating on‑call duties.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Willingness to follow safety and risk‑management procedures.

Required skills

• Caulking and sealing of fixtures.
• Sheetrock repair and replacement.
• Touch‑up painting.
• Pressure‑washing of exterior surfaces.
• General maintenance and use of hand/power tools.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA safety practices.
