Make-Ready Specialist – Property Turnover

About the role

The Make-Ready Specialist ensures vacant apartments meet Greystar’s quality standards for re‑leasing. This involves performing technical and mechanical work to turn units into market‑ready homes quickly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements listed on the community’s make‑ready checklist before new residents move in.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs and showers as needed.
• Inspect, repair or replace damaged sheetrock.
• Perform touch‑up painting for vacant and occupied units under supervisor direction.
• Maintain common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Document completed work and checklist items promptly.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects and crawl in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Comfort working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical capacity to lift up to 25 lb independently and 50 lb with assistance.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Caulking and sealing.
• Sheetrock repair and replacement.
• Touch‑up painting.
• Pressure‑washing of exterior surfaces.
• Basic hand‑tool operation and maintenance.
