Maintenance Technician – The Clara

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the property, including buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas, meet Greystar's standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This full‑time, on‑site position supports both resident service requests and preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspection.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of maintenance or facilities experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including on‑call evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart when required.

Required skills

• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
