Maintenance Technician – Overture West Ashley

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Overture West Ashley community in Charleston. The role focuses on ensuring that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas through trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Ability to follow safety and risk‑management policies and participate in routine safety meetings.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting work and completing documentation.
• Capability to coordinate with vendors and manage inventory efficiently.
