Maintenance Technician – Independence Park

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support Independence Park, a stabilized residential community of 78 units. The role involves ensuring the building, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and minimizing material waste.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of hands‑on maintenance experience, preferably with vintage residential buildings.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety protocols, and manage multiple work orders efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship.
