Maintenance Technician – High Rise (Houston area)

About the role

The Maintenance Technician for high‑rise properties ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance and functionality. This role supports resident satisfaction and prepares vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing them in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors and contractors, and obtaining necessary approvals.

Required profile

• Experience in building maintenance or a related technical field.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and adhere to regulatory codes.

Required skills

• Technical troubleshooting and repair of building systems.
• Coordination with vendors and contractors.
