Maintenance Technician – Facilities

About the role

The Scion Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support its student‑living properties. You will respond to service requests, perform preventive maintenance, and prepare apartments for turnover while ensuring safety and high‑quality service for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Log service requests and completed work using Entrata and CMMS systems.
• Maintain property condition according to SOPs, OSHA, and industry standards.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as appliance repair, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and basic electrical work.
• Inspect vacated units, document needed repairs, and coordinate with the Facilities Supervisor.
• Conduct routine inspections of common areas, fire extinguishers, smoke/CO2 alarms, and replace filters as needed.
• Execute preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure warranty compliance and extended life.

Required profile

• Eligible to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).
• Solution‑oriented professional with strong customer‑service focus.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, agile, collegiate environment.
• Reliable follow‑through and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Entrata and CMMS platforms.
• Basic appliance repair, general carpentry, plumbing/fixture repair.
• Painting, basic electrical and lighting maintenance.
• Coil and condenser cleaning, filter replacement.
• Fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, and CO2 alarm inspection.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and preventive maintenance procedures.
