Maintenance Technician – Dairy Operations

About the role

The dairy relies on well‑functioning equipment for every step of production. As a Maintenance Technician you will ensure that all machinery, tools and facilities are kept in optimal condition, preventing disruptions that could affect daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on dairy equipment according to manufacturer recommendations.
• Inspect machinery daily, report any malfunctions immediately to the manager, and arrange for corrective action.
• Keep tools and spare parts organized and readily available for all staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the office building and related facilities.
• Provide backup coverage when scheduled staff are absent, giving sufficient notice to the manager.
• Respond to emergency calls, including work on scheduled days off or vacations.
• Assist the manager on special projects and routine dairy maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• Reliability and willingness to work flexible hours, including emergencies.
• Ability to follow manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures.
• Good communication skills to notify supervisors of issues promptly.
